With the London Diamond League in the Olympic Stadium on Sunday, and the SAL on Saturday, there was limited other action from Woodford athletes over the weekend, but there was notably a further improvement of the Club 3000m s/ch record from Adam Kirk-Smith, and another personal best for Che Richards.

Adam Kirk-Smith was racing in Letterkenny, Ireland on Friday evening and he placed 4th in a good class steeplechase and recorded 8m37.41 secs, to marginally improve his recent  Club record. Also racing at the same meting was Omololu Abiodun who placed 2nd over both 100m and 200m recording 10.93 secs (-0.8) and 21.99 secs (w?). At the BMC meeting at Loughborough on Saturday Canaan Solomon placed 3rd over 800m and recorded 1m49.26 secs, and HCA member Revee Walcott Nolan was 2nd in the women's race with 2m04.21 secs, with another HCA member Rachel McKlay recording 2m08.87 sec. Paul Martelletti also HCA, continued his return to fitness and placed 2nd in the "B" 5000m with 14m40.40 secs. 

The weekend saw the English Schools Championships in Birmingham, and Stephanie Howe placed 11th in the senior hammer with 39.95m, and Andrea Golban was 17th with 45.89m. In the senior girls javelin Maia Dart placed 4th with 41.94m. 

Edinburgh University student, Che Richards back in Trinidad to compete in the National Championships at Port of Spain, continued his fine form recording a personal best of 7.80m (-0.1) to take the title.
