Robert Wolski: World Masters Champion

Congratulations to Robert Wolski on winning the World Masters Indoor M35 High Jump title recently.

This year the World Championships were held in Robert's native Poland, specifically in Torun, in the centre of the country. Robert is now in his second year in the M35 category. His PB dates from 2006, when he leaped a mighty 2.31. He joined us in 2010 and has been a much-valued member of our British League side since then.

Robert jumped 2.10m to win the title in Torun. Women's Team Manager Keith Newton was 9th in the M50 Triple Jump at the same event.

For the second year in a row these championships, held in Sutton Park (Sutton Coldfield) had a poor turnout, but Woodford supported them along with Aldershot, Birchfield, Barnsley and Wirral.
