A number of Woodford athletes were competing in other County Championships around the country over the weekend. This report will be updated as more results become known.

Azaria Francis
In the Surrey Championships, jumper
Azaria Francis continued her much-improved indoor sprinting form outdoors, as she won the 100m with 12.30 secs (-2.4) after recording 12.10 secs (-0.8) in qualifying, and later placed 2nd over 200m with 25.45 secs (-0.6) after clocking 25.20 secs in her heat.
Charlotte Cutler was also in action in those championships and won over 1500m with 4m38.58 secs. Also in the Surrey Champs,
Ayamba Akim placed 2nd in the high jump with 1.65m. Another jumper sprinting well was
Kim Murray who, in the Avon and West Championships, placed 3rd over 100m with 12.69 secs (w?), and won over 200m with 25.46 secs (w?). Continuing with jumpers, at the Middlesex Championships at Copthall, triple jumper
Stephanie Aneto placed 3rd in the LJ with 5.36m (+2.5), whilst
Hannah Frankson made a welcome return to competition as she placed 3rd in the TJ with 12.26m (+1.0). In Somerset, Millfield pupil, U/20,
Kitty Eleyae won both the 100m and LJ with 12.66 secs (-0.7) and 5.42m.
At the Norfolk Championships Mel Brown won over 400m with 62.1 secs and, also over 400m, HCA 800m man Damien Moss won the Northants Championships with 49.8 secs. Lucy Marshall took the Warwickshire HT title with 50.65m whilst, on Merseyside, Hywel Care enjoyed some under-distance work in windy conditions, where he placed 3rd over 800m with 2m05.5 secs, and 4th in the 1500m with 4m15.9 secs. Fellow distance man Simon Plummer won two titles in the Wiltshire Championships, in strong winds he won the the 3000m by 50 secs in 8m50.8, and 90 mins later a tactical 1500m in 4m10 secs.
Competing as a guest in the Scottish Inter-Regional Championships, Andy Frost opened his season in the hammer with 64.51m, and there wsa some other fine throwing at the Kent Championships, where Alastair Willimason recordied a pb to take the hammer with 60.29m, and Stuart Harvey opened his season with a fine 69.49m to take the Javelin.
