Lauren MacGregor 1st U17G in Mini-Marathon

Congratulations to Lauren Macgregor who won the u17girls (18mins 01 sec) London Borough’s Mini  Marathon last Sunday. This event is run over the final 3 miles of the main marathon. Lauren joined WGEL last autumn has been beset with a number of small niggling injuries which disrupted her winter season. She was thrilled to have won the winners trophy after 6 consecutive years of trying. The trophy was presented by Sir Richard Branson and Phillips Idowu. WGEL had many other junior members taking part in the mini marathon, with Liam Blaikie  also highlighting with a fine 3nd place in the u17boys (15mins 25secs).
