Final National Young Athlete League match

 Despite finishing 3rd. in the final National Young Athletes League match at Hastings, by dint of a tremendous effort by all team members Woodford amassed enough points to ensure their staying in the Premier Division next year.

Among a host of fine performances, those of David Peddle stood out as he won the U15 javelin with a grade 4 throw of 35.71m., the discus with a grade 2 throw of 33.97m. and was 2nd. in the shot with a grade 4 throw of 10.46m..
Also in the throws were Joe Liscalis who was 2nd. in the U17 discus with a grade 2 throw of 38.37m. and Hugh Williams, 3rd. in the same event with 37.18m., also grade 2. Other boys also did well in field events with Mason Barrett winning the U13 long jump with a grade 4 4.48m. and Nathan Douglas coming 2nd. in both the U13 long jump with a
grade 4 4.48m. and the high jump with a grade 2 1.40m.. Nathan also won the 75m. hurdles with a grade 2 13.1sec. where Shane Dewar came 3rd with a grade 3 13.7 sec..

Two girls achieved grade 1 performances. Phoebe Fuhr with 1.40m. in the U13 girls high jump and Eleanor Moss with 29.28m. in the U15 girls javelin.
Rhianna Van Howe won the U17W javelin with a grade 3 throw of 32.93m. while Aoife Guyatt came 2nd. in the U13 girls shot with a grade 3 7.51m.. Freya Spence won the U17W. pole vault with 2.10m. while Hannah Pattie-Belilli came 2nd. in the U17W high jump with 1.45m. and also 3rd. in the triple jump with 9.00m.

On the track the top grading was achieved by Canaan Soloman with a grade 1 performance in the U13B 1500m. which he won in 4min. 47.8 sec.. Woodford took the first two places in the U17W 300m. hurdles with Amy Doyle winning in a grade 4 49.1sec. and Emily Clarke 2nd. in 51.30 sec. There were also 1st. placings for Daniel Rowden in the U15B 800m. with a grade 3 2min. 12.9 sec., Jordan Allen in the U13B 100m. in 13.6 sec and the 200m. in 28.1sec. and T.J. Ashaye with 12.1 sec. in the U15B 100m..
Joseph Dewar came 2nd. in the U17M 100m. with a grade 2 11.3sec. with Kyle Jervier gaining grade 3 with 11.5sec. in 5th.. Tyler Brown ran a grade 2 23.1 sec for 3rd. in the U17M 200m. while Kingsley Annor won the U15B 400m. in 57.7 sec. and also came 3rd. in the 200m. in 24.6 sec.. There was a good grade 3 run from Perry Rowan to win the U15B 1500m. in 4min. 33.3sec. .James Stockings won the U17M 1500m. steeplechase in 5min. 25.0 sec. where Ryan Dunne came 3rd. in 5min. 38.4 sec. and also came 2nd, in the 1500m. in 4min. 25.3sec. and 2nd. in the 800m. in 2min. 08.8 sec..In the same race Sean Kenny came 3rd. in 2min. 12.6 sec.. Sean also came 3rd. in the 3000m. in 10min. 20.0 sec.. There were 2nd. places for Sion-Peter Omooba in the U17M 100m. hurdles in 15.8 sec. and also the triple jump with 11.71m., ,Joseph Dewar with 5.96m. in the U17M long jump. and 3rd. places for Kome Eleyae in the U15B 80m. hurdles in 14.5 sec. , Jacob Bedeau in the U13B 800m. in 2min. 43.8sec.. and Hameed Kaliq with 4.34m. in the U15B long jump.

There were some good runs from the girls led by Amelia Barrett who won the U15 1500m. in a grade 3 5min. 04.0 sec.. Rosie Poole came 2nd. in the U13 1200m. in 4min. 16.2 sec.. and Georgina Ferrari also took a 2nd. place in the U17 800m. in 2min. 30.3sec..
There were grade 3 performances from Jessica Norweh 3rd. in the U15G 100m. in 13.1 sec. and Tobi Akiwumi 3rd. in the U15G 200m in 26.8sec. who also gained grade 4 in the 100m. with 13.2 sec.. Third placings were gained by Chloe Michaud in the U13G 100m. in 13.0sec., Pamela Milla with 27.9sec. in the U17W 200m. , Hannah Pattie- Belilli in thre U17W 80m. hurdles, Lucy Hayes with 5min. 32.2 sec in the U17W 1500m., Alicia Mardell with 2min. 32.3sec. in the U15G 800m. and Isobel Moss with 11min. 48.6 sec. in the U17W 3000m.. Maddie Swallof came 4th in the U15G 75m. hurdles in a grade 4 13.0 sec..
