Further Track and Field action over the weekend and during the last week, included the men's "B" team in action at Woodford in the Southern Men's League, and a number of athletes in action both in the UK and around Europe.

At Loughborough on Thursday there was a LEAP meeting, Woodford performances were led by hurdlers as Nusrat Ceesay improved her season's best to 58.46 secs to place 4th in the 400mH , and in the men's 110mH Dan Davis recorded 14.14 secs (+1.5). In the Pole Vault, Christian North cleared 4.86m. At Stretford in the BMC meeting on Tuesday, Andy Mariani recorded 3m52.66 secs for 1500m. Racing in Copenhagen on Thursday, Eugene Ayanful won over 100m with 10.75 secs ((-0.5) and in the 800m, Jon Cook was just 0.01 secs outside his season's best with 1m49.00 secs for 6th. In Linburg, Germany on Wednesday Emily Moss recorded an unusual pair of personal bests as she placed 5th over 3000m with 9m42.41 secs, and 3rd in the 400mH with 60.68 secs. On Saturday in Mannheim, Tim Abeyie recorded 10.49 secs (+1.2) as he placed 2nd in a 100m race, and in Poland, in reportedly very wet conditions, Robert Wolski cleared 2.13m to place 3rd in the national championships.

Throwing at the Essex U17 Championships, Daniel Francis made a huge improvement to his discus PB of 37.69m by throwing 42 05m to gain selection for the U17 inter-counties.
