Woodford Wasps in Action

Sunday 9th October 2011 was the first of this season's indoor Minithons, run by Lee Valley. WGEL and the Wasps were represented by 14 athletes. Each athlete competed in a maximum of 3 events and their times/distance were converted to points. To make it fun, every athlete who takes part receives a medal - Gold, Silver or Bronze, depending on the number of points scored.

Top athletes in each age group were: Year 6/7, Phoebe Fuhr and Christopher Agyeman; Year 4/5, Abigail Allen and Max Wintle.

Special mention for Max as he came 3rd overall and was also the 3rd fastest in the 600 metres out of all age groups in a time of 1 minute 54 seconds.
