Annual WGEL Young Athletes Awards
WGEL held their Annual Young Athletes Awards night in the packed, newly decorated clubhouse after training on Tuesday 28th February. The clubhouse was full with young athletes, parents, coaches, team mangers, officials and senior members, along with special guest, 20 year old club member and GB Junior sprint international Sam Watts.
The WGEL Young Athlete Section would like thank role model Sam for coming along to help compere Jean Burgess present the 59 various Awards to our enthusiastic youngsters. Also thanks to everyone who attended, and thanks again to Cowsi Magol and Ken Bray for providing the photos and music, and to Christine Foy for providing the refreshments, financed by the Evergreens.
