World Indoor Championships- Istanbul

On the final day of the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Istanbul, there was a 4x400m gold medal for Shana Cox. Shana, having previously placed 5th in the indiividual 400m with an indoor personal best of 52.13 secs, ran the first leg for GB&NI which narrowly won from the USA. On Saturday, Tiffany Porter placed 2nd in the 60mH with7.94 secs. Representing Ghana, former GB and Wales international Tim Abeyie was diaqualified from the 60m heats after false starting, whilst Commonwealth Champion Tosin Oke,due to compete in the triple jump did not start.
