Tim Prendergast 5th in T13 800m Final

Update: Tim Prendergast finished 5th in the final of the T13 (visually impaired) 800m at the Paralympic Games on Saturday. His time of 1:55.85 was his fastest for 6 years, so he had every right to be pleased that he had delivered the very best he could do. The club congratulates Tim on his marvellous achievement.

Tim Prendergast today (Friday) qualified for the final of the T13 800m, which will be held at 11.55 on Saturday. 3 men went through automatically from each 800m heat, and Tim finished a comfortable 3rd in heat 1, in 1:58.21. The 2nd heat was significantly faster and Tim will be hoping that that will have taken something out of their legs for the race tomorrow.
