Woodford athletes were in action both at home and overseas during the week, and over the weekend. Highlights included a European U/23 200m qualifying mark for Jordan Kirby-Polidore.Competing on Wednesday evening at the Lee Valley sprints meeting Jordan Kirby-Polidore raced over both 100m and 200m. In the 100m he finished 5th in 10.64 secs (+0.8), but over 200m he went significantly better, winning in a new personal best of 20.78 secs (+0.8), inside the UKA qualifying mark for the European U/23 Championships of 20.80 secs.

  Also racing over 100m Justin Duru recorded 11.15 secs (+1.1), and under 20, Keira McCook recorded11.93 (+0.8) secs 24.2 (+0.8)secs over 100m and 200m. Under 13 Abigail Coe recorded a personal best of 14.99 secs (+0.1). Also on wenesday evening at the BMC Gold Standard meeting at Stretford, Tom Phillips recorded a personal best over 800m, finishing 2nd in the "B" race in 1m51.48 secs. On Friday evening at the Highate 10,000m meeting their were two personal bests in this now seldom run track event. Kiwi paralympian Tim Prendergast finished 5th in the "C" race with 34m31.05 secs, and in 17th in that race was Andrew Clare with 36m41.93 secs.

Several others were in action overseas. In the IAAF Diamond League, Olympic finalist Tosin Oke, competed in the triple jump where he placed 11th with 16.36m (-0.4). On Friday evening in Bonneuil sur Marne, France Ezekiel Ewulo was 4th in the long jump with 7.59m (+1.0). In Belgium on Saturday at Kessel-lo, Tara Bird placed 2nd over 800m with 2m05.81 secs, whilst in the men's race Jon Cook was 6th with 1m50.11 secs. Also in Belgium, on Sunday at Alphen aan din, Rijn Hannah Frankson won the triple jump with 12.95m (+0.5) ahead of Zainab Ceesay 3rd with 12.68m (+0.1), whilst over 800m at that meeting Megan Edwards set an 800 p.b. of 2m08.99 secs for 6th. In Dublin on Sunday at the Woodies AAI Games, Conor Bradley set a p.b. over 1500m with 3m43.49 secs, with Pajo Hamilton 5th with 3m57.18 secs.
