Good mid-week weather, brought news of some good middle distance results from Woodford athletes at Eltham, and from the Lee Valley sprints meeting, plus updated results, including two medals, for Conor Bradley from the Northern Ireland Championships at the weekend.
Three young Woodford athletes competed over 800m at the BMC Eltham meeting on Wednesday evening, and all recorded personal bests. U/20 James Stockings improved his p.b. to 1m53.63 secs to finish 5th in the race, U/17 Daniel Rowden won the "B" race with 1m54.94 secs, and in the "C" race, Sam Benge was 8th with 2m00.75 secs. At Lee Valley over 100m, seniors Justin Greenidge and Justin Duah were closely matched, clocking times of 11.10 secs (+1.6), 11.04 secs (+1.8), and 11.12 secs (+1.6),11.03 secs (+1.8) respectively. U/15 Aaron Toppin went well with 11.43 secs w(+2.3) and 11.44 secs (+0.9) as did U/17 Edward Yamah with 10.95 secs w (+3.1) in his only race. V35 Alan James recorded 12.28 secs (+1.0) and 12.17 secs (+1.5).
In the N.Ireland and Ulster Championships there were two medals for Conor Bradley, 3rd over 800m with 1m53.63 secs,and 2nd over 1500m with 3m48.17 secs, whilst Pajo Hamilton was 5th in the 800m with 1m54.76 secs.
