Our member David McCarthy finished a very fine 18th in the Senior Men's race in the European XC Championship on Sunday in Belgrade. His Ireland team finished 6th. Of their six men, 5 represent English clubs: Michael and Dan Mulhare run for Belgrave, Stephen Scullion for Aldershot and Paul Pollock for Kent.

Another of our Ireland-based members, Conor Bradley, won the Northern Ireland 10K championship last week in the Seeley Cup race in Belfast, finishing in 30mins 34secs, 5 seconds ahead of Paddy Hamilton, who represents Enfield in the UK. Our member Pajo Hamilton ran 33.45 for 33rd place. Conor also finished 14th in the All-Ireland XC Championship in Dublin 3 weeks ago. Pollock and Scullion finished 1st and 4th in that race.
