Continuing his return to action over the holiday period, Dan Awde raced indoors over 60m at Newham and was close to his best ever as he recorded 7.09 secs in his first race, but then false started in the second. 400m specialist Sylvester Juwe was timed at 7.41 secs in each of his two races at the same meeting. At Lee Valley on New Year's Day there was another encouraging return to action for Omar Mansour who recorded 1m55.90 secs over 800m. Also racing over the same distance were Gavin Lewis with 1m57.69 secs, and Paul Scanlan with 2m02.21 secs.
