 Woodford athletes were in action at home and abroad over the weekend with Shana Cox at the World Relay Championships, and others closer to home where, in windy and sometimes wet conditions at Chelmsford during Day Two of the Essex Championships, there were nine titles won by WGEL athletes as well as other medals and good performances. There were two titles for Hollie Redman, and others for Omolulu Abiodun, Keith Newton, Harry Clarke, James Bongart, Daniel Rowden, Isabella Hoy and Katie Petyt, Titles were also won at other County Championships.

Shana Cox ran at Nassau in the IAAF relays in the GB&NI 4x400 team clocking the fastest split of 50.9 secs as GB placed 7th. Dan Awde was also there as part of the men's 4x400m squad but did not run. Competing in France Mark Dry recorded 69.85m in a hammer competition at Forbach where he placed 5th. 

Hollie Redman's two titles came in the field as she won the shot with 10.79m and the discus with 42.85m Into a strong headwind Omolulu Abiodun added the senior 200m title to the 100m title he had gained the previous weekend, recording 21.98 secs (-2.8). Fourth in that race was Vincent Ogedengbe with 22.85 secs (-2.8). Keith Newton, now a V45, won the senior triple jump title with 12.65m w (+2.5). Harry Clarke won the men's hammer with a personal best of 58.04m, where another V45, Fergus Harford was 5th with 33,86m. In the U/20 Javelin, James Bongart won with a throw of 51.17m, with David Peddle, 3rd in 37.49m. Daniel Rowden, a week after setting a WGEL Club U/17 800m record, won the Essex title, but was pushed all the way by training partner Cannan Solomon who set a huge personal best of 1m54.20 secs, behind Daniel's 1m53.94 secs. Also winning titles were Isabella Hoy in the U/15 3000m with 10m36.81 secs, and Katie Petyt in the U/15 triple jump with 10.49m w(+3.3). Katie was also 2nd in the long jump with 4.95m.

Others to gain medals were Angus Holford who was 2nd in the senior 5000m with 15m49.02 secs, Hugh Williams 3rd in the U/20 hammer with 38.69m, Kojo Opare 3rd in the U/17 triple jump with 12.05m (+1.5), Ryan Beatty 2nd U/15 Boys hammer with 30.84m, Joseph Geller 3rd U/13 1500m 5m06.18 secs and also 3rd = high jump with 1.25m. Other Woodford athletes included, Pearce Christie 4th U/17 200m 23.28 secs (w?), Kojo Opare 200m heats 24.73 secs (-5.0), Dylan Tettey 7th U/17 long jump 4.96m w (+2.5), Sam Barker U/15 200m heats 26.44 secs (-1.7), Jodie Ratcliff 4th U/17 800m with 2m27.77 secs after a 2m22.87 secs heat, Anastasia Constantinides 4th U/17 discus 21.37m, Molly Gardner U/15 200m heats 27.81 secs, Kyesha Robinson 8th U/15 800m 2m34.65 secs, and Ella Wigul 7th U/13 long jump 4.05m w (+3.3)

 At the Kent Championships there were two titles in the windy conditions. Mike Baker won the 400mH with 52.39 secs and the flat 400m with 49.63 secs, where in the heats HCA member Alex Bell recorded 49.48 secs. At the Suurey Championships Tom Norman won the discus with 55.94m and Ezekiel Ewolu the long jump with with 7.31m, whilst at the Midd;esex Chgampionships Justin Duru was 4th over 200m with 22.79 secs (-2.0) after a 22.53 secs heat (-1.2) and a 11.49 secs (-3.6) 100m heat. In the Scottish District Championships Jack Lochans won the high jump with 2.00m. In the US, Jordan Donnelly raced on the road over 5km, going under 15min for the first time with 14mim 55 secs for 12th at Westfield MA.
