New Club 3000m record

Racing at the BMC Watford Grand Prix on Saturday evening, Ben Potrykus broke the longest standing Men's "domestic" (GB qualified) Club T&F record when he recorded 7m55.62 secs. This improved the mark of 1968, Mexico Olympian, Maurice Benn who recorded 7min57.65 at Crystal Palace in July 1975. The absolute bests are held by Youcef Abdi (Aus), outdoors with 7m54.31 secs and David McCarthay (Ire) indoors with 7m51.24 secs
