Becky Hewitt in triathlon in Italy

Becky Hewitt really enjoyed the whole experience of competing and being with the team in Italy. They finished 5th and she had the fastest run split out of the GB girls (4.54 for 1500 after the swim and bike!)
 Since then she has also taken part in the London Youth Games Aquathlon which she won, again the fastest run split (11.08 for 3k after the swim).
 She now has to move up to racing as an elite junior where the distances are longer, 750m open water swim, 20km bike and 5 km run so has had to increase her training accordingly.
 She has also been invited to take part in a week long training camp with the National talent Squad in Loughorough in August.
 All of this means that WGEL hasn’t really seen much of her this season the track but she should be back in action for cross country as the triathlon competition season will then have finished.
