National Junior League

A strong all-round team performance ensured a good result for the WGwEL Under 20 team in the final Natioanl Junior League fixture of the season. Woodford were 2nd in the fixture on 493 points, behind League champions Blackheath and Bromley  on 504. Woodford finished 5th overall in the League. Amongst the many fine individual performances from both the men and women, the breaking of two 26 year old Club records in the men's relays stood out. The 4x100 team of Ben Peacock, Eugene Ayanful, Sam Watts and Junior Ejehu recorded 42.0 secs for their victory. Tthe 4x400m team of Paul Scanlan (50.5), Nnamdi Umeh (49.4), Ben Peaccock (51.1), and Vincent Ogendengbe, anchoring with a superb 46.5 secs leg won with 3m17.5 secs.
