Bronze for women at National CC Relays

At the National Cross Country Relays in Berry Hill Park, Mansfield on Saturday, our senior women's team were delighted to win a first-ever set of national team medals in a distance running championships. On leg 1 Linzi Snow ran 10:19 over the 3k course to finish in 8th place. Jess Sparke took over on leg 2 and clocked the 2nd fastest time of the day - 19:55, faster than the likes of Katrina Wootton and Hatti Dean - to bring the team up into 2nd. On leg 3, Kat Sparke dropped back into 3rd running 10:24 but, in a thrilling finish, she held off the fast approaching Olympian, Steph Twell, by 2 seconds.
