Eastern Counties Championships

In the Eastern Counties CC Championships at Colchester, with temperatures no higher than -2 degrees, 5 Woodford athletes braved the freezing conditions.The Under 13 girls team came away with bronze medals, with only 7 points covering the first 3 teams. Alicia McArdell led the team home in 7th place over 3k in 12 mins 52 seconds, some 50 secs behind the winner. Behind Alicia were impressive runs from Jodie Ratcliff in 9th in 13 mins 12 secs and Rosie Poole just one place further back in 13 mins 14 secs.

In the Under 15 girls race over 4K, Isobel Moss placed 9th in 16 mins 06 secs, some 2 minutes faster than last year on the same the course.

Perry Rowan was 7th in the Under 15 boys race in 13 mins 38 secs, 45 secs behind the winner over 4K.
