Hammer throwers on Hammers TV

One of our club members, the Reverend Alan Bolding, this week conducted a 3 mins 30 secs interview with two of our young hammer throwers, Peter and Harry Clarke, for West Ham United's TV channel. The lads were featured in their West Ham shirts in the club's media room.

Two very popular and friendly lads, Peter was ranked 6th U20 in the UK in 2010 with his throw of 61.21, while Harry was ranked 11th U17 having thrown 59.31.

Alan is quite a character, too. He is WHU's club chaplain and is often to be seen training with the sprinters at Ashton Playing Fields in his WHU track suit and day-glo Nike Mayflys. In September, it was reported that he was helping goalkeeper Robert Green to overcome a run of poor form. Green's form has certainly been better in recent weeks.
