Chingford League at Chingford: Young Athletes
The consensus was that the numbers of runners racing over the Chingford Plain on Saturday was considerably down on previous league meetings, perhaps with the exception of the U13 age groups. After the heavy rain during the preceding week, the courses were predictably wet despite some changes being made to the routes used in order to make life a bit easier for the junior age groups.
The highlights were a win in the U13B event for Daniel Rowden, who was keen to put in some extra work for missed training over the Christmas period, and a good turnout from our U13Gs where we had 6 of the 21 finishers, including a fine debut for new member Isobel Lavine who finished a fine 5th.
