English Schools Championships

News from the English Schools Championships held at Gateshead over the weekend was headlined in the senior boys the 200m, as Jordan Kirby-Polidore, last year's runner up, took his first ever National Schools title.

Jordan recorded 21.49 secs (-3.4) into a very stiff headwind to take the title with club-mate Omololu Abiodun placing 3rd with 22.16 secs (-3.4).

 There were two 4th places; from James Stockings who improved his personal best to 4m30.28 secs for 4th in the inter boys 1500m s/ch, and from Joseph Dewar who was 4th in the inter boys long jump with a personal best of 6.69m. Other performances include, Peter Karibo, 7th senior boys TJ with 14.21m, Harry Clarke, 7th senior boys HT with 52.21m and Youcef Zatat 10th senior boys DT with 41.44m
