Kwakye: "Media should encourage our female sportswomen"

Our British 100m champion Jeanette Kwakye has had an article published in national newspaper The Guardian calling on the media to provide more encouragement for our female sportswomen.

In the piece, Jeanette adds to the criticism of the BBC's short list for their Sports Personality of the Year Awards, which included no women. It is blog-style, and has attracted many reader comments.

Jeanette has been a member of Essex Ladies AC and then WGEL since she was about 13 years old.
