James Bongart goes 5th U17 in the UK with javelin

After a slow return last year from having nearly a year out due to injury, James Bongart has started well in his last year as an U/17 Men Javelin thrower.

Last week he took part in the Havering Mayesbrook warm-up meeting and produced a throw of 41m 97cms, which was a very good PB. However, James wasn't satisfied with that and, today at the Chelmsford throws fest with the sunshine on his back, threw some very neat and tidy throws, culminating in a superb PB of 48m 90cms, which is a staggering 6m 97cms better than last week and ranks him 5th in the country on the Power of 10. With improvements still to make, surely this is going to be a very fruitful year for him.
