Wednesday evening brought news of some good middle distance performances at the Watford BMC, including a personal best for Tom Phillips and a good run in Belgium from Richard Alleyne.

The men's BMC "A "800m race saw three Woodord athletes in action. Jon Cook was the best placed, finishing 2nd in 1m49.40 secs, Oli Heeks was 7th with 1m50.44 secs, and U/20 Matt McLoughlin recorded 1m 52.45 secs. The womens "A" 800m saw Kathrine Foy 7th with 2m15.35 secs. Tom Phillips personal best came in a good quality 1500m race where he recorded 3m49.14 secs for 9th. In the " B " race Gavin Lewis was 7th with 3m57.76 secs.

Competing in Namur, Belgium, Richard Alleyne was in good form, very close to his best-ever, placing 2nd over 110mH with 13.74 secs (+1.2).
