Samsung Diamond League, Birmingham

Three WGEL athletes were in action at Birmingham on Sunday. London 2012 relay finalist, Shana Cox, was some way from her best, placing 8th in the 400m with 52.92 secs. Also even further from his best was Youcef Abdi, having been ill during the week, he was forced to trail in last in the 3000m s/ch with 9m09.45 secs. The best Woodford performance came in the 'B" (On Camp with Kelly) 800m, where Tara Bird won, with a personal best of 2m02.54 secs - a time which would have placed 6th in the main Diamond League race.
