Katy Petyt heptathlon hopeful

At the Southend Medal Meeting on Bank Holiday Monday Katy Petyt recorded personal bests in the U15 75m. hurdles of 12.19sec and also in the triple jump with 9.97m.

Katy joined the club as a distance runner but coach Bob Corbett sees her future in the heptathlon. Bob says she is a good long jumper and 800m runner but will have to work on her high jump.

She aims to compete in the Eastern Championships at the end of September.
