Commonwealth bronze for Mark Dry

Competing for Scotland, Mark Dry won a Commonwealth Games bronze medal as he placed 3rd in the hammer final on Tuesday evening with a throw of 71.64. Andy Frost, also competing for Scotland, was 9th with 66.63m. On Sunday Tim Abeyie (Gha) just missed out on progressing to the 100m semi-finals after placing 3rd in his heat with 10.50 secs (-0.4). On Monday, Shana Cox (Eng) was 5th in her semi-final of the 400m in a time of 52.57 secs.
