YA's had Fun and Laughter at Thorpe Park

On Saturday 19th October, WGEL young athletes took to the thrills and spills of Thorpe Park Adventure Theme Park for a reward trip in recognition of their outstanding efforts and performances in the YDL fixtures this year in both Upper & Lower leagues, and part of the cost was paid for by the club in respect of this. The young athletes certainly know how to have a good time, whilst the adults were busy having cups of coffee and tea and then filling themselves up with KFC or Burger King for lunch, and a good old chat about anything and everything, the athletes were going wild on the various scary rides that Thorpe Park had to offer including the new rollercoaster ride called Hyperia which is the tallest and fastest and most weightless rollercoaster, certainly not for the faint hearted, but they seemed to enjoy it. Anyway a good day was had by all and a BIG THANKYOU goes out to the team leaders who supported the total experience and most importantly Karen Higgs-Smith for organising the whole event.
