Indoor round-up, February 22nd.

Highlight of the weekend's indoor action was a new WGwEL Club triple jump record from Tosin Oke.

 

Competing at the Birmingham Aviva Grand Prix, former European junior champion Tosin Oke, finished 7th in a world class field, improving his personal best and WGwEL club record by 2cm with his leap of 16.89m. This currently ranks Tosin 13th on this season's world rankings.  Also in action at Birmingham was Joice Maduaka who placed 8th over 60m with 7.48 secs, and Nick Leavey who placed 3rd in a domestic 400m with 47.70 secs.

At the Bath Open meeting, Jason Greenidge recorded times of 7.16 secs and 7.11 secs over 60m and Kim Murray won the long jump with 5.86m. In the US, Sarah Bird placed 3rd over a mile in Charleston with a time of 5m08.88 secs. At Cardiff, representing Scotland in the Celtic Cup, Francis Smith won over 60mH recording 8.20 secs.
