Over the weekend, Mark Dry competed for GB&NI in the European Winter Throwing Cup in Sofia, Bulgaria, placing 6th in the hammer with 63.99m, whilst in Glasgow at a throws meeting, fellow Scotland Commonwealth Games representative Andy Frost opened his season as he won with with 68.90m. In Australia at the Sydney Classic international meeting, Lachie Chisholm, for whom the last three seasons have been curtailed due to achilles tendon injuries, returned to competition, placing 9th over 1500m with 3m43.41 secs.
