YGMs get in the action at the Athletes' Parade

Never ones to miss out on an opportunity, at least two of our Young Games Maker team were able to make it to the Athletes' Parade in the Mall last Monday. With the parade falling after the start of the school term and with many of the team moving into 6th form, it was always going to be difficult to take time off to attend. We were fortunate in being successful in the ballot to be able to apply for the coveted places in the Games Makers' ticketed enclosure on the Mall but in the end, it seems that only Pamela Milla and Nya Petinaud were able to attend and could experience the procession of athletes' floats first hand. Eddie Izzard, who featured in many of the Games Maker training vidoes and hosted some of the sessions, was a big draw in the enclosure and Pamela didn't miss out on the photo opportunity!
